well, the apology is not an explanation.  The usual way is to pick
one list, ask there, wait a few days, and if you get no answer, try
another list.

You should not ask for help individual people, unless you know them
personally.  This is especially try for very busy people, and your
list contains a few of them!

If you need a more reliable support, there are plenty of op[tions on
the market.  Of course, it is wise to establish a contract at the
beginning of a project, so that it is readily available when an
emergency appears.

PS to Bob Rossi: it was a mistake to hit ``reply to all'' before
looking to the list of recipients.  (But I was in an easier
situation: I got this through bug-autoconf, which is not related to
the subject.)
