Thanks for the report. Could you please instead report this to the grip
package maintainers, and point them to this FAQ:
http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/autoconf.html#Present-But-Cannot-Be-Compiled
as it is most likely to be a bug in their configure.ac? And while you
are at it, you can give them the suggestion that they should fill out
the bug reporting argument to AC_INIT in their configure.ac.
