Is this issue worth documenting in Shellology section withing autoconf.info? This probably should be fixed somehow in libtool, but I'm not yet sure what is the proper way.
It should be documented.I suggest changing Autoconf and Libtool to recommend and use just the "$@" form. This is because the shells that mishandled "$@" are now museum pieces and are no longer worth worrying about porting to, whereas the shells that mishandle ${1+"$@"} are still in use.
