Follow-up Comment #6:
Someone who actually uses Solaris needs to write the patch for this one. It
sounds like what we want is a patch that adds an intermediate "partial C99"
compliance level to _AC_PROG_CC_STDC_EDITION, matching what you get with
-D_STDC_C99. It should be distinct from the full C99 level because, when we
eventually get around to dealing with bug #110286 and bug #110879, someone who
specifically asks for full C99 should probably *not* get the partial mode.
