$ gunzip bash-2.05.tar.gz
gunzip: bash-2.05.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--crc error
gunzip: bash-2.05.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--length error
$ md5sum bash-2.05.tar.gz
8a9615a17808f762c3be0d61b0966332 bash-2.05.tar.gz
Similarly for bash-doc-2.05.tar.gz and readline-4.2.1.tar.gz. This is
with RedHat's gzip 1.3-12. With 1.2.4a built from source, I get the
"crc error" messages but not the "length error" messages. Not exactly
a bash problem per se, but I'm not having this problem with any other
archives, so I didn't know where else to start.
