Hi,
I've applied current official patches (5 patches to readline, recompile,
install, then 13 patches to bash, recompile, install, restart shell
etc...). (I have my bash dinamically linked to system readline.)
^X^V says version 3.00.13(1)-release
My UTF-8 problem which readline50-005 and bash30-011 are supposed to solve
are not gone at all, I see exactly the same kind of weird things happening
as described in that bug report.
(Just to clarify things: I have set LANG=hu_HU.UTF-8 before starting bash,
no LC_ variables set. The terminal is also set to UTF-8 mode. In
gnome-terminal, it's just one click on the menu bar.)
bye,
Egmont
