When binutils is configured with

LDFLAGS="-Wl,-z,relro" \
/export/gnu/import/git/binutils/configure \
    --enable-shared -enable-gold --enable-plugins --enable-threads \
    --prefix=/usr/local \
    --with-local-prefix=/usr/local

I get
