Thanks for your reply. I found the error, it was in my makefile: I removed CFLAGS += -fdata-sections http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-4.7.0/gcc/Optimize-Options.html#index-ffunction_002dsections-895 Now it compiles (I also removed -ffunction-sections) PFLAGS += --verbose CFLAGS += -mmcu=msp430f5437 #CFLAGS += -ffunction-sections #CFLAGS += -fdata-sections CFLAGS += -mmemory-model=medium OPTFLAGS += -Os kind regards, Pieter
