I use git master, aka https://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git.

x86_64 GNU/Linux
The operating system is Debian.
In fact I also tried to build x86-64 target on arm64 platform.
It has the same problem:
> uname -a

aarch64 GNU/Linux
> mkdir build
> cd build
> ../configure --target=x86_64-linux-gnu
> make
