problems making library on MingW

I have been trying to build cgicc 3.1.5 library using MingW.
It is compiling fine, but I am getting lots of errors while linking due to
undefinmed references in cgienvironment.o and cgicc.o
An example is:
error in cgienvironment.o:  undefined reference to 'import stub for
cgicc::stringAreEqual(basic_string(char, string_char_traits etc.....)
error in cgicc.o:  undefined reference to'import stub for
cgicc::stringAreEqual etc.....

How can this be fixed?
