aaahhh!

Ok, I upgraded from jamvm 1.4.2 to 1.4.4. It is a little embarrasing, but
the leak seems indeed fixed with current jamvm+cvs. 

My test slideshow got somewhat slow at image 1320, but it was just loading 
an image (JPG) of size 6660x3770 that I had downloaded from the web without 
noticing the size. Memory usage went up to over ~600M VSS and 500M RES
on that image, but got down again after that. Performance seems ok, as well.

Thanks for your patience! I would have closed this, but bugzilla somehow
only allows "leave as assigned" at the moment...
