Compiling commoncpp2-1.0.13 on AIX52

I am using gcc-3.3.1as the compiler on AIX 5.2.0.0

Configured just using --prefix.

make error I get is
 g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../include -I../src -DCCXX_EXPORT_LIBRARY
-D_THREAD_SAFE -I../include -g -O2 -D_GNU_SOURCE -MT process.lo -MD -MP -MF

process.cpp: In static member function `static void

process.cpp:201: error: `::setenv' undeclared (first use here)
make[1]: *** [process.lo] Error 1

How can I get this to compile successfully?
