seq says it uses printf style strings.
$ man 3 printf
To print pi to five decimal places:
fprintf(stdout, "pi = %.5f\n", 4 * atan(1.0));
$ seq -f "%.5f" 0 .005 .09999
seq: invalid format string: `%.5f'
$ seq -f "%0.5f" 0 .005 .09999
seq: invalid format string: `%0.5f'
$ seq -f "%1.5f" 0 .005 .09999
0.00000
0.00500...
