Bug in coreutil 5.0, found in stty check

stty test failed for coreutils-5.0

   I was building coreutils-5.0   on a Solaris 8 box using gcc.
  ./configue
  make 
  make check

 There was an error in make check.  Here is the short version.
This test was run as root.  It also fails for a normal user.
