Hello,

Is there any feedback or progress related to this patch?  I'm very
eagerly awaiting a copy patched in this manner, as it really helps the
remote filesystem our group is working on (i.e. PVFS2) and generally
makes more sense to me.  While the implementation may need work, I'd
like to see it through to inclusion if possible.  Please let me know
if there are more steps that need to be taken.
