While building coreutils with the recently issued version 0.15 of GNU
gettext, I ran into this problem with the latest Russian translation
<http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/teams/PO/ru/coreutils-5.97.ru.po>:
$ msgfmt -c coreutils-5.97.ru.po
coreutils-5.97.ru.po:2411: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and
'msgstr[0]' does not match
coreutils-5.97.ru.po:2419: number of format specifications in 'msgid' and
'msgstr[0]' does not match
msgfmt: found 2 fatal errors
This problem causes undefined behavior if the translations are used,
which could lead to core dumps, at least in theory.
Can you please fix this and send email to address@hidden when
the fix has propagated to www.iro.umontreal.ca? Then we can reenable
the distribution of the Russian translation as part of GNU
coreutils. Thanks.
