Thanks for the report. Could you be more specific, and paste some output
from the screen showing the command you typed when things hung? What are
the permissions on the directory that you are changing to? What version
of coreutils? Have you considered using strace to see what kernel calls
are being made, and if any one of them is behaving unexpectedly?
