OK, but now I'm getting confused: It seems that the slocate utility has the
exact same problem (using 3.1-1ubuntu3 of slocate), and from an Ubuntu bug
report I learned it also uses fts.
However, it seems there are two (concurrent?) versions of fts, one in glibc,
and one in coreutils. I am wondering what exactly I have to do to make slocate
work reliably again on large non-inode file systems?

Thanks for any insights,
Cheers,
Wolfram

Geordi: Ah, here it is. It's a simple matter of decoupling the central
osmotic pulse collimator and reconstructing the aft nucleogenic EPS intake.
Picard: Now why didn't I think of that?
