the command line sort command works nothing like the sort I am used to in
hpux, aix, or irix. why would you do that? just to mess with me? don't
you have better things to do?

say I want to sort on column 3, numericaly, reversed order:
sort -nu +2 -3 file > files
what would I type in your parallel universe?
