OK, glad to know they are supported. Indeed,

$ join <(printf "%s\n" 'a 1' 'b 2' 'b 3' 'c 4') <(printf "%s\n" a b 'b 5' c c)
a 1
b 2
b 2 5
b 3
b 3 5
c 4
c 4

So be sure to mention it wherever you mention files must be in sorted
order.

I mean probably if you don't mention it, nobody will be sure what the
behavior will be.
