Thanks for the summary and reminder. I have been surprised
by such effects, too. (Luckily without huge dramatic effects.)
While I am all for terseness, I agree that the Cederqvist should point
these effects more clearly.
The reason being that a CVS repository maintainer has often to compensate
for sloppily prepared vendor kits, delivered by vendors _not_ having a
clue about decent source mgmt.
