Someone obviously wants the feature, so I think it should
be consolidated into CVS, given that someone has already
done the work.  The work shouldn't go to waste.

And being a new feature, feature is exactly where it should go.
I would not want to see the Tandem port delivered a few
weeks ago to suddenly start failing because of this new
command.
