As the rejection message said, "If you want to show the mailing list what you are seeing then simply cut-n-paste the *text* of your message to the mailing list". Please, never send images to a list.
I'm trying to copy a 500gb usb portable drive to an identical drive. ddrescue seems to work up until the end when it gets hung on "splitting failed blocks"
Sometimes reading a bad sector from a failing drive can hang indefinitely. You may try the -i option to skip it, but ddrescue already saved 99.99997% of your data (three times because you didn't use a logfile). Maybe this is all the data that can be rescued from that drive.
