I used TestDisk to create an image of my damaged external hard drive. I had
trouble finding software to recover my files directly from the .dd image.
So I mounted it with OSFMount then used recovery software to get some data
back, about 50% of 1TB. Some things are missing and some are corrupt, kind
of a mess. I saw Ddrescue and was excited but I just can't wrap my head
around it all. Has Ddrescue been incorporated in any software that I have a
chance to be able to use? If not, could you please recommend a recovery
software option for me that will use the image I've already made. I've been
at this for about a month. I'm not completely incapable but I have no
programming experience.

Thanks!!!
