Question about no-pause option

Hello to all,

Do you think I should make "--no-pause" the default behaviour and show 
the "Press RETURN to continue..." message only when requested with a 
"--pause" option (or command)?

The "--pause" and "--no-pause" options and the "Press RETURN to 
continue..." message are GNU extensions not mentioned by POSIX, so we 
may implement them as we like. This is why I am asking this here.
