Details:

I've tried using the escapes to change the fonts on the fly in text and then
translating that to rtf.
The filter I used did not work at all if I used the

--filter="filtercommand %s" and when I piped the already converted text to
enscript -wrtf, it just produced the text as is without changing the fonts. In
fact the -fTimes-Roman12 directive did not change the font in the output
either.

I've looked in the manual to see if there is a mention if the --filter option
works with the rtf conversion and I cannot see it mentioned.

Do the escapes work with rtf? or only with the default ps conversion?

If they don't work, could they be made to work?
Or if that is not possible, could the fact be made quite clear in the man
page. I found the man page to be a great resource, by the way. Esp the recent
additions.

If you need more information, like I haven't been clear enough, or you want
to test what I have done, please contact me.

I like to use enscript because it can convert to ps, rtf, and overstrikes or
just be a straight filter for the printer.

It would be nice to get this part of enscript working as advertised.
