I recompiled it with -m32

The specific error that configure prints is:
ERROR: Could not find the library for flex-generated scanners.
Check your installation of flex.
You can find flex at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/non-gnu/flex

I created a shell account for you with read/write access to /tmp and your
home directory. I will be sending you the user:passwd and hostname
privately. I put the two tarballs that you sent me in your home
directory. If you need to download any GNU packages I maintain a mirror of
ftp.gnu.org at ftp://cs.ubishops.ca/pub/ftp.gnu.org which is located in
the same room as the UltraSparc system. The UltraSparc doesn't run an ftp
server as ftp is insecure, so to upload/download you'll need to use scp.
If you need anything installed, or need system-wide changes, or more
privilages let me know.

Good Luck!

-Tom
