Yes, thanks, sorry about that. I shoud have read all your emails
before applying the update. I have now reverted my change and applied
your second patch. Many thanks for your help.
When I read your original email I was a bit red-faced; I discovered a
more or less identical bug in OpenBSD in 1998. I should have been
more aware of that potential problem...
