Follow-up Comment #2:

I've applied all the patches (teh resulting version of find.texi is 1.98).  

I attach the ".rej" file for the whitespace patch; not all the hunks were
applied.  As for your preferred way of proceeding, that's fine with me.  I'm
not sure why the whitespace patch didn't fully apply, though.
