Follow-up Comment #1:

It's not a bug.  You've just misunderstood what's happening.  As the
documentation for find states, you need to protect wildcards from expandion
by the Unix shell.  Add an "echo" to the front of the commands you use to
understand more fully what is happening.  See also the explanation at
