Follow-up Comment #5, bug #28912 (project findutils):

Nothing special. It is the argument for -I. And the way -I works is
documented: 

-I replace-str
              Replace occurrences of replace-str in the initial arguments
with names  read  from  standard input.

That one is an entirely different situation. The {} in the exec string is
special and not explained somewhere else.
