is slocate database still new?

EHLO,

im running 4.6.0 and im getting this:

    glocate: ‘/var/lib/locate/locatedb’ is an slocate database.  Support
for these is new, expect problems for now.
    glocate: ‘/var/lib/locate/locatedb’ is an slocate database.  Turning
on the '-e' option.


but manpage says:

> 4.3.2     Support for the slocate database format


and http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/findutils says

so is it really new? wat should i be worried about? leaking private paths?
