The sound replacements are something I can try. Can you let me know, which sounds are required, and if you have any particular thing in mind for them (of what they should sound like).

As for regression tests I have to look at and understand the code. Any starting point(er)s?

One last questions, the game was ported you say. The original source was for Windows?

one-man effort.
