I've patched tested and uploaded a binary for armv6l here:
https://archive.org/download/GnuFreedink-DinkSmallwood
Use -truecolor to get the right colors. I did not use the pallete patch because
it resulted in a blank screen.
This is a HACK of realease 108.4 to workaround a bug that causes Freedink to not
get a hardware surface in framebuffer (outside of an X window system
environment)
when it's been told by Raspbian. It is based on SDL 1.2 so on the next
release of
Freedink using SDL 2 if it works in framebuffer this hack will be deprecated.
In the meantime, it could be useful. It could be included in the Retropie
distribution --which is built on top of Raspbian and runs in framebuffer-- along
with SuperTux and some other libre games which they distribute.
This hack could be made more useful by causing it to activate only when a flag
such as -forcesoft is passed; that way it will run normally (unhacked) when it
is not passed. For this and other purposes I *might* open a Gitlab
project to work
on it.
Here's a screenshot showing what I've done with the hacked Freedink bin so far.
