[bug-gawk] Numerical repeat is broken.

The attached script should match each line, but does not.

 

Expected output:

Matching v01.02.002

  1 matches

  2 matches

  3 matches

  4 matches

  5 matches

 

But on many systems it produces

  Matching v01.02.002

  2 matches

  3 matches

 

I tried the script on Ubuntu 10.10, Centos 6.0, and Windows 7 and did get wrong results.

It works ok on Debian.

 

On Ubuntu, I was using 1:3.1.7.dfsg-5 (gawk)
