Arnold - google "Get the book Effective Awk Programming" for my contribution to 
the cause :-) .

I doubt if I'll take this on, too much of a learning curve for something this 
small and I have a lot on my plate right now too. I understand you've got more 
important things to deal with so maybe just add it to the "wish list" somewhere 
appropriate...
