static binary, breakpoint misplaced

        Hi,

        I'm using gdb 4.18, debugging a binary compiled with gcc 2.95.2, linked 
with
ld 2.9.5.

        When I use gdb on the shared libs version of my binary, everything's 
ok.. But
when I try to debug the static one, every breakpoint is set on the same
location, somewhere in an uninteresting part of the code, but always on the
same place...


        Otherwise gdb can follow the program execution, only breakpoints are 
strange..


        Any idea??
