gdbserver thread creation notification

Hi

I would again like to ask this .

With my GDB and GDBSERVER 6.0 I am not able to get automatic notification of
thread creation on GDB host. What could be the possible reason ? But "info
threads" and thread switching are giving correct behaviour.
I have tried this on GDB and GDBSERVER both on i686.
I have also tried this on GDB on i686 and GDBSERVER on ARM.

In both the cases, I am not able to get automatic thread creation
notification.
Is it supported in remote protocol ?

Waiting in anticipation

Thanks and regards
Vijay

Subject: gdbserver thread creation notification

Hi

I have built the latest gdbserver 6.0 for arm-linux target with gdb host on
i686 linux.
I have an application with multiple threads, mutexes and timers.
The application has been built with -pthread option (dynamic linking)

I am able to perform the "info threads" and thread switching functionality
from remote gdb 6.0 host
But whenever a new thread is created in the debug program (pthread_create),
there is no thread creation notification being displayed on the gdb host.
Though "info threads" shows all the list of threads created.
But with native gdb, we get a New Thread creation notification as soon as
any pthread_create() is encountered in the program.

I have tried the same with both gdb host and gdbserver on i686 Linux. The
problem remains the same.
That means it has something to do with remote protocol ??

Can someone help me in resolving this problem with gdbserver?
Does remote debugging supports everything that native gdb supports as far as
multi-threaded debugging is concerned ?

Thanks and regards
Vijay
