Hello,

Andreas Stricker made 10 months ago a patch to add JavaScript support
in Gettext, but AFAIK has not got any replies yet.

Could somebody please review his patch, give feedback etc?

There are many gettext libraries for JS out there and now people force
.js files to be parsed as perl or python, but neither is perfect.
Gettext needs to get proper JS support, otherwise it risks to be
replaced by some other localisation systems. You want gettext to live
and be relevant in the web world too, right?
