Problems using ps2pdf and eps2eps on a gri-generated .eps file

Hi,

When converting an .eps grayscale image file to .pdf format using
ps2pdf, I got the wrong colour mappings (white became medium-to-dark
grey).  I found that the eps2eps script in a recent ghostscript (6.5)
produced exactly the same problem, so that it may be something to
do with the "postscript" driver of ghostscript.

I am using gri version 2.4.2 and ghostscript 6.50 on linux debian i386.

Has anyone else had this problem?  I can mail the file to anyone
interested.
