It is a bug that has already been fixed two or three years ago! It is called
the MacOS Truetype font bug, and is specific to Mac-generated postscript print
jobs.
Anyway, the solution is either patch 5.50 (and recompile), upgrade to 6.10 or
6.50. (both 5.10 and 5.50 are terribly out-of-date). The last time I experienced
this problem was like, end of 1998, when I was still using unmodified 5.50.
