It either involves carefully choosing only to edit fields that do not
append data to the audit trail, or to edit the dbconfig file manually
to suppress it during your batch process.

I would suggest editing the dbconfig and using a temporary /dev/null
or bitbucket email address in the "to-address {" directive of the
"mail-format audit-mail" section.
