Time to ship 5.06

Hi All,

thanks to Anders, and HP, I now have a tar ball of 5.06 that builds
using GNU (./configure ; make) and produces working GNU Chess on;

GNU/Linux with GCC
Windows 98 with Cygwin
Solaris 2.5 and 2.7
HPUX 11.11 with CC and GCC
Tru64 with CC
FreeBSD with GCC
HP-UX 11.22 with GCC

Problems known on;

HP-UX 11.22 with CC has an issue with the HP compiler parsing the HP
pthread.h file, isn't clear this is a GNU Chess problem to me.

Anders reports a few issues with AIX.


Mike reports successful build with a.n.other compiler on Windows.

I think it is safe to say that 5.06 is now at least as portable as 5.05.

I intend to cut the current CVS head (warts and all) plus relevant
documentation updates as GNU Chess 5.06.

Thanks to Anders and Mike for compiling stuff and little patches. Thanks
to Lukas for doing the difficult bits, and the others who contributed
patches, fixes and bug reports.
