Is a tar ball that will become 5.07 if no issues are reported.

The 5.07 release is primarily to resolve issues with building on recent
versions of Cygwin.

As it incorporates Dave's new parsing code it requires flex.

$ md5sum gnuchess-5.07.tar.gz
259da00aa559e5624c65279484fccaf7  gnuchess-5.07.tar.gz

$ ls -l gnuchess-5.07.tar.gz
- -rw-rw-r--    1 srw      srw        234542 Aug  7 15:22
gnuchess-5.07.tar.gz

I've only tested Cygwin and Linux (x86) builds so far.
