Emacs Development

I would like to get information about the current state of Emacs
development, but I could not find any public website, or CVS repository.
(neither www.emacs.org nor http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/emacs.html
have that kind of info).

I'd love to see how it's developing is going on, what new features are
being implemented/discussed, contribute, motivate :-), propose
enhancements...


As a very silly example, I'd like to suggest a small modification to the
interactive "occur" function: I think the default REGEXP used for the
search should not be the last one used, but the word at point.
