q in *Help* window does nothing

[I did emacs -q --no-init-file --no-site-file
but I notice there still is a i386-mandrake-linux-gnu thing that got
loaded but I still hope I've made a valid bug report this time...]

In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i386-mandrake-linux-gnu, X toolkit)
 of Mon Oct  2 2000 on debris.mandrakesoft.com
configured using `configure  --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib
--sharedstatedir=/var --with-gcc --with-pop --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/iinfo --with-x-toolkit i386-mandrake-linux'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

one would expect hitting q while in a *Help* window would, say, bury
that help window, but instead it does nothing. I would like to go
from looking at a full screen help window, back to the buffer I was in
before, with that help page still around if I need to look at it
again, just like q in an *info* buffer would do.

Recent input:
C-h k backspace C-x 0 q escape x r e p o tab r tab
return
