"Wrong type argument: stringp," not informative enough

When a user is faced with the error message
"Wrong type argument: stringp, myvar"
he doesn't know if this means
1. what is wanted is a stringp
or
2. what he gave was a stringp
therefore, this error message should be made more explicit, e.g.,
"Wrong type argument: got: stringp, expected: integer"
or whatever.
