I few years ago I posted a question, and posted it again a year later
after having no replies the first time. I got flamed for not reading
gnu.emacs.bug where my question was answered the first time. How was
I supposed to guess?
The person who flamed you was wrong: if someone is answering your
question, he ought to email the answer to you, not just post it.
However, your suggested change seems like a good idea nonetheless.
