I've noticed a problem with the Emacs 20.7.1 build provided with
OSX.
When attempting to compile up/use the 'p4.el' file for getting
Perforce support on Emacs, it refused to compile saying:
Symbol's value as variable is void: ((d))
When I attempt to use Emacs' built-in 'vc' support with plain old
RCS, the same error: "symbol's value as variable is void: d".
At the p4.el package maintainer's request, I have done set
'debug-on-error' on, and attempted to compile up the package
hoping to get a trace -- all I get is the same old error about
the symbol's value as variable is void.
Base on this, I assume that the problem is not with p4.el, but
rather with the Emacs build on OSX itself.
Can anyone provide some light on this subject as to how I can
track down and fix this problem (or at least bring it the
attention of others who can fix it)?
Thanks,
