In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit)

(Seems to be true for Emacs 21.0.90 as well -- that's the only Emacs
21 source I have lying around.)

goto-address-fontify should mark all overlays created as being
goto-address overlays. Before running, goto-address-fontify should
remove all these overlays.

That way, if goto-address is called a second time, URLs that are no
longer URLs will no longer be highlighted. Furthermore, people can
write replacements for font-lock-default-unfontify-region which take
this into account without having to resort to such ugly hacks as
comparing the overlay face property.

At the same time, I propose to make it XEmacs compatible. And I
volunteer to do it, too. :) I just need a copy of the latest
net/goto-addr.el.

Is Eric Ding still maintaining it?

Alex.
